Thanks to all those lawyers whose dedication is purely academic and who have been tirelessly working from every corner of Latin America, the Colombian Institute of Procedural Law has been able not only to start but also to continue its academic interchange in matters of procedural law.

This intellectual interchange through the annual conferences and published articles has allowed us to become leaders among procedural law institutes in Latin America, inspiring numerous lawyers working across the field of law, and providing cohesion between iberoamerican researchers and experts.

As part of our drive for improving the understanding of procedural law we have created this website to give all involved access to the most up-to-date information and theories.  We think it vital to use all means of communication available to make research easier for all those lawyers and academics not only living in isolated regions of Latin America, but also for those who work across the world.

It has been the poor distribution of analysis, investigations and reviews that´s been problematic for researchers and foreign professors and what has propelled this Institute in its efforts to become the premier international forum taking Latin American law studies to a global level.  This would include uploading old, out-of-print publications and data which continue to be valuable for research purposes.

Also available would be the most recent theories, law studies and precedents recently set by international courts and organizations for judges, public prosecutors, adjudicators, conciliators, public defenders, lawyers and students who live far from the capital cities and centers of learning.

This virtual space will give access to exclusive content that will be added to monthly. Usually this content will be in spanish.  In our first edition we will publish the following articles amongst others:

1. Article: Devis Echandia, H, The necessity for the creation of agrarian jurisdiction in Colombia, 1984, Bogotá. (in spanish)
2. Article: Devis Echandia, H, The Independence of Judicial Power, 1985, Bogotá. (in spanish)
3. Discourse given by Enrique Low Murtra during the inauguration of the VII Colombian Conference of Procedural Law held in      Bucaramanga, 1987.  (in Spanish)
4. Video Compilation of Great Procedural Law Experts edited by Rene Molina Galicia (professor at the Universidad Central de      Venezuela), composed of short interviews with Enrique Véscovi, Cipriano Gómez Lara, Hernando Devis Echandía, Hernando      Morales Molina, Adolfo Gelsi Bidart, Mauro Capelletti, Víctor Fairén Guillen among others. (spoken in italian, portuguese, and      spanish with english subtitles).
5. Discourse given by Augusto Mario Morello during the inauguration of the XV Iberoamerican Conference of Procedural Law and XVII     Colombian Conference of Procedural Law (Bogotá, Colombia).  11 September, 1996.

Those interested should contact the Colombian Institute of Procedural Law at icdp@icdp.org.co or direccionejecutiva@icdp.org.co
We hope that this project we are leading will be appreciated by all those lawyers who visit this website, and thanks to their involvement it will become a turning point in the history of Latin America scientific institutions.
